  • Date: June 12, 1922-June 30, 1928... ( NOTE: One source gives two dates: June 12, 1922 and May 13, as possible start dates but seems to favor the June date. Another source gives May 5, 1922 for date of authorization of call sign, June 12 for first broadcast. Yet another gives May 5, 1922 for date of authorization of call sign and May 13, 1922 as the date of license, but the site does not give dates of first broadcast. United States Department of Commerce Radio Service Bulletin[1] dated June 1, 1922 shows the station in existence as of that date, implying a May start date.)
