The FCC database gives the call sign for the Phoenix, Arizona station at 1230 kHz between the dates of October 30, 1992 and May 7, 1999 as KYOT. All evidence from other sources, including contemporary broadcasting directories and people contacted with knowledge, give it as KISO. It would appear that the FCC listing is in error, but a plan may have been made and the FCC petitioned to adopt the KYOT call. All sources agree that prior to October 30, 1992 the call sign was KISP and after May 7, 1999 it was KOY.
