• Date: April 7, 1925-June 30, 1928... ( NOTE: The date of April 7, 1925 for the change of callsign from KFCZ to KOCH comes from one source, and Wikipedia also gives 1925 as the year of change. However, a radio log dated 1926 still shows KFCZ.)
  • Previous call letters: KFCZ
  • Frequency:
    • 1160 khz (April 7, 1925-June 30, 1928...)
  • Location:
  • Owner of license:
    • Omaha Central High School (April 7, 1925-April 11, 1927) ( NOTE: One source has this licensee still shown on June 30, 1927; April 11 appears to be the correct date of change)
    • Central Radio School (Central High School), C. H. Thompson (April 11, 1927-March 1, 1928) ( NOTE: This is not really a change of ownership; Mr. Thompson actually signed all earlier license forms)
    • Omaha Central High School (...June 30, 1928...)

According to one source, this station was de-licensed on March 1, 1928 because of a controversy over the proper owner of the license. The principal of Omaha Central High School, J. G. Masters, objected to C. H. Thompson's maintaining that the station was his. Because of this controversy and the Federal Radio Commission's desire to reduce the number of high-school-operated stations, the license was withdrawn. However, another source still shows the station as licensed as of June 30, 1928, with the licensee shown as given.
