The station's own Website, however states that KGY call letters were issued on April 4, 1922 to Father Sebastian Ruth, OSB. The March 30 date seems correct, because the United States Department of Commerce Radio Service Bulletin[1] dated April 1, 1922 already shows the station. The station developed from Sebastian Ruth's amateur station, 7YS.)
